One year I came back to my apartment from Christmas and my heater was broken and our bathroom was flooded from the upstairs apartment's bathroom. Sick. So we also turned on our oven. And used the neighbor's bathroom. The end.
2008 must’ve been a really cold Christmas season. :D May I know what happened to the heater? If you had a water-based heater, the common causes of damages are leaks, corrosion, and pump problems. I hope your heater was fixed in time for Christmas Day during that year. :)
Ditto. The thing about heaters – and HVAC systems for that matter – is that the real problem won’t be properly identified unless it’s under close inspection. And for that reason, professionals are recommended to handle this issue. Well, I still hope this problem turned out well. :D
Haha! Nice substitute! Anyway, what happened to your heater? It’s been years already and I’m sure that you either have your heater fixed or you’ve already bought a new one. I just hope you won’t experience a problem like this ever again.
